3. Service Description

We provide Arabian-inspired rustic décor rental services including Persian-style rugs, Moroccan lanterns, wooden crates, room dividers, floor cushions, and event styling services within the Eastern Cape.

4. Booking Process

  • Online item selection with date availability check
  • 50% non-refundable deposit required to secure booking
  • Balance payable 7 days before event date
  • Security deposit of 50% of rental value (refundable)
  • Bookings are confirmed only once deposit is received

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include 15% VAT unless stated otherwise. Payments are accepted via EFT and PayFast. Prices may change without notice, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • 30+ days before event: Full deposit refund
  • 15–29 days: 50% deposit refund
  • 8–14 days: 25% deposit refund
  • 0–7 days: No refund
  • Force Majeure events may allow rescheduling

7. Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, customers have the right to:

  • Cancel online bookings within 5 business days (excluding custom items)
  • Receive goods fit for purpose
  • Return defective or damaged items
  • Fair and honest marketing

8. Intellectual Property

All website content, images, décor designs, and branding belong to SaharaRustic Decor & Events. No content may be reproduced without written permission. By submitting event photos, you grant us royalty-free marketing usage rights.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Weather-related damage when used against advice
  • Venue access delays
  • Client alterations or misuse
  • Theft or loss during events
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Maximum liability is limited to the rental value of affected items.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by South African law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Cape courts. We participate in alternative dispute resolution via the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.

Rental Agreement / Terms of Hire

Rental Period

Standard rental period is 48 hours. Additional days are charged at 20% of the daily rate.

Collection

Collection is from Kidds Beach, East London. Delivery is not currently offered.

Security Deposit

A refundable deposit of 50% applies. Refunds are processed within 7 business days after inspection.

Hirer Responsibilities

  • Use items only as intended
  • Keep items dry and protected
  • No alterations or open flames
  • Supervise items during the event

Damage and Loss

The hirer is liable for replacement, repair, and cleaning costs where applicable.

Force Majeure

Deposits may be held as credit for 12 months in cases beyond our control.
